Uit de 40 deelnemende projecten is het project \u201cHergebruik van remenergie van treinen\u201d genomineerd als \u00e9\u00e9n van de drie winnaars van deze internationale prijs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tijdens de 10<sup>e<\/sup>&nbsp;World Highspeed Congress zal Arjan Heinen, CEO van Hedgehog Applications, een presentatie geven en de prijs is ontvangst nemen. Na de presentaties van de drie in de prijzen gevallen projecten kan het publiek stemmen wie er met de eerste plek vandoor gaat. De prijs is een erkenning van het (internationale) potentieel van het Hedgehog Systeem. Het opvangen van regeneratieve remenergie brengt vele duurzame voordelen met zich mee waaronder CO<sub>2&nbsp;<\/sub>reductie, minder onderhoud aan treinen en kan daarnaast zorgen voor energievoorziening in de vorm van een batterij buffer systeem op plekken waar onvoldoende stroom is of juist waar behoefte is aan netstabilisatie in het geval van overbelasting van het publieke energienet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Over&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.uic-highspeed2018.com\/\">UIC<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Internationale Spoorwegunie heeft als doelstelling om de technische eisen aan rollend materieel van de Europese spoorwegen te standaardiseren, samenwerking tussen de spoorwegmaatschappijen te bevorderen en daarmee het grensoverschrijdend treinverkeer te vergemakkelijken. Hun leden zijn infrabeheerders (o.a. ProRail), spoorwegmaatschappijen (o.a.
